BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay City Council will hold a council workshop on August 22 at 6 p.m. to discuss the status of economic development
The workshop is led by the Economic Development Division of the city’s Office of Community and Economic Development.
The team will provide a brief overview of the department, including existing initiatives and incentive programs, as well as recommendations for additional incentives and incentives to further promote commercial/industrial growth in Palm Bay.
The Department of Community and Economic Development encompasses the city’s economic development as well as housing and community development. The department is also responsible for implementing the activities and initiatives of the Bayfront Community Redevelopment Agency.
The goal of the department as a whole is to provide a central location to meet the needs of the Palm Bay community – both residents and businesses.
The CED Division administers programs and services that impact the local business community and administers various state and federal housing and community development grant programs that benefit low- and moderate-income residents and communities.
The Department is also responsible for providing cross-departmental assistance in applying for grants and state legislative funds to finance city operations and serves as a central office for citywide communications and public information.
The offices are located on the second floor of the Palm Bay City Hall Annex, 120 Malabar Road SE.
