Fast food chain Chick-fil-A plans to build a restaurant on North Wenatchee Avenue.
The company has requested a preliminary meeting with the City of Wenatchee’s Community Development Department to discuss possible building allow.
The proposed site is on two vacant city-owned lots at 1551 and 1567 N. Wenatchee Ave. The lots are located at the southeast corner of the intersection with a new extension of McKittrick Street, where traffic signals and a concrete median on N. Wenatchee Avenue will be installed in the next few weeks.
The site is near the old Ministry of Transport building.
According to the preliminary meeting request submitted to the city, the proposed Chick-fil-A would have dual drive-through and trash pickup as well as two exterior drive-through canopies.
Chick-fil-A would like to ask City staff a number of questions about the property during the pre-application meeting with the Department of Community Development.
The meeting is scheduled for this Thursday at 9 a.m.
Chick-fi-A currently appears to have only one location in Washington state east of the Cascades, in Spokane.
