British rock band Oasis announced on Tuesday that they would reunite for a world tour in 2025, ending a nearly 15-year feud between the band’s two lead singers, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.
Key data
The band announced the Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour in a social media post, saying, “This is it, this is happening.”
The announcement included a partial schedule of the concert tour, which begins in Cardiff, Wales on July 4 next year, followed by a series of shows in England, Scotland and Ireland over the next two months.
While the posts did not mention the band’s full lineup for the reunion shows, they did feature a picture of the band’s lead singer, Liam Gallagher, alongside his older brother, lead guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher.
The UK and Ireland concerts will be Oasis’ only European appearances next year, but the band said “plans are underway” to extend the tour to other continents later next year.
The Gallagher brothers had been hinting about the reunion on social media in recent days.

Key quote
On their reunion, Oasis issued a statement saying: “The guns are silent. The stars are aligned. The great wait is over. Come and see it. It won’t be televised.”
Important background
Formed in 1991, Oasis went on to become one of the most influential bands on the Britpop scene. The band released their first album, Definitely Maybe, in 1994, which became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history and was certified platinum in the US (this is awarded to albums that sell over a million copies). Oasis went on to produce other iconic Britpop anthems, including Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova. Despite their success, the band was plagued by internal disputes for several years, which led to Oasis splitting up in 2009 following the departure of Noel Gallagher. The songwriter and guitarist said at the time that he “just couldn’t work with Liam for another day”. A legal battle and a very public feud between the two brothers followed.
