When Katie Holmes was last spotted out and about, she was wearing Miu Miu’s ever-popular studded ballet flats, from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
The shoes were very appealing and showed that the actress was a fan of timeless loafers. That was until Monday, when Katie wore Pieces from April in New York.
The 2003 film starring the actress is about the protagonist April, played by Katie, who tries to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for her estranged family. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival that same year.
For the excursion, the Dawson’s Creek: The mysterious setting Star slipped into Rachel Comey’s “Vard Shirt,” which features a forest green ruffled background with purple rose petals and a turtleneck. She paired the blouse with black folded-leg jeans, drawing the eye down to her transitional footwear choice.
Katie supported the designer again by wearing the brand’s ‘Cassis’ mules in a dark indigo shade. Made from foil-coated leather in a bright ‘Ottanio’ palette, the backless slip-on shoes feature a small heel and a metallic touch.
The actress stored her everyday essentials in APC’s small “Grace” bag with a black snake print and gold-colored metal clasp.
She wore her brunette hair open and straightened and opted for natural make-up.
Rachel Comey is another addition to Katie’s luxury archive. The label is a New York-based fashion brand celebrated for its modern, artful designs with a focus on inclusivity and sustainability. Unique textures, bold silhouettes and everyday luxury form the foundation of Comey’s designs, which emphasize craftsmanship, comfort and effortless style.
