The Pixel 9 series was a huge hype even before its launch and was in the spotlight at the Made by Google 2024 event with its new design and features. The camera layout was also a hot trend and with the range finally out, users are trying to get their hands on the devices. While many users expressed their admiration for the upgrades, some buyers ended up having an unpleasant experience as they encountered issues with the camera tilt.
Many buyers are said to have problems with the camera title on the Pixel 9 Pro XL
The Pixel 9 series was unveiled on August 13th and has garnered a lot of attention. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL hit stores on August 22nd and users have been sharing their experiences with the new model on Reddit, with many leaving positive reviews. However, the Pixel 9 Pro XL had an issue with the telephoto lens and the camera experience was not smooth.
The Redditor shared that he first noticed the issue while recording a video and noticed an “annoying tilt” while recording the video. The problem became more apparent when the zoom was adjusted from 2x to 5x. The user showed proof of the defect in a video share where he was using the zoom option in the XL model’s telephoto lens and the tilt issue occurred.
While we’d like to believe that this was an issue faced by a specific user and not widespread, many users in the same post have claimed to be struggling with a similar problem and stated that the issue is not limited to the telephoto lens and can occur when using the ultra-wide lens as well. Some shared that the issue comes and goes and is not constant and even shared fixes such as manually selecting the lens to resolve the issue.
These issues generally occur when a product is new to the market and are usually fixed by the company. Although the issue is not widespread and is limited in scope, Google has not yet issued a statement on the claims mentioned. We are not sure if a software update will fix the issue or if the hardware is to blame. In that case, Google may have to compensate affected users with a replacement or their money back.
