Today, adidas Basketball unveils the Dame 9, the latest iteration of the Dame franchise, a continuation of Damian Lillard’s ongoing success with his signature shoe line.
The Dame 9 is Dame’s lightest racket to date and is designed with innovative features specifically for the highest performance athletes to meet the needs of athletes who are always on the court:
- 14.5 ounces: Low weight for more mobility
- Internal Lycra Boot: Comfortable yet sturdy inner construction at the ankle for support when cutting and jumping
- Light strike: Lightweight and zoned cushioning in the midsole to protect the foot and reduce weight
- Strategic grip: Outsole with multi-directional pattern and density, adapted for mobility, grip and comfort during cuts and foot strike.
- Total torsion: Stiffness and support along the entire length of the foot to maximize power transfer
- Nubuck leather toe cap: Increased durability and protection in high-wear areas
Following the highly coveted collaboration with Dame 4, Dame 9 will once again collaborate with BAPE.®which takes the typical aesthetics of the Japanese label and transfers them to the innovative basketball sneaker in two BAPE collections.®iconic colorways: One in green with gold accents features a rubber outsole, black midsole, and green ABC CAMO on the upper with ABC LINE CAMO on the collar, while the one in red with gold accents features a red outsole, black midsole, and red SOLID CAMO on the upper with ABC LINE CAMO on the collar. A third version for friends and family features a USA-inspired colorway with a tonal SOLID CAMO upper with ABC LINE CAMO on the collar and gold accents. Each pair comes complete with custom BAPE branded and tonal logos.® CAMO insoles and alternative laces and comes in a special co-branded box.
The collection is rounded off by a selection of apparel, including a reversible black SOLID CAMO mesh jersey with the adidas Dame logo on one side and BAPE®s iconic collegiate graphic on the other side, matching black SOLID CAMO mesh shorts, co-branded socks and a special edition Damian Lillard BABY MILO® T shirt.
The accompanying campaign videos showcase Dame’s continued reliability and reveal his always-on mentality that excels both on and off the pitch. They show how Dame applies the same mentality he has on the pitch to every moment of his life.
