LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) — A guest of MGM Resorts International will be the first in Bellagio’s 25-year history to choreograph a Fountains of Bellagio show.

Scott Krupa of Atlanta, Georgia, was chosen to help the Fountains of Bellagio celebrate their 40th show. The special show, titled “It’s a Beautiful Day at Bellagio,” was choreographed to “Beautiful Day” by U2.

The fountains are operated by MGM Resorts International and are part of the Luxury Collection by Marriott Bonvoy.

According to the official press release, Krupa, an elite member, used 2.4 million Marriott Bonvoy member points to compete for the chance to choreograph the show.

“When I discovered this incredible opportunity from Marriott Bonvoy Moments to choreograph the Fountains of Bellagio show, I couldn’t resist and eagerly redeemed my points for an experience that exceeded anything I had ever imagined,” said Krupa. “The opportunity to express my creativity through the fountains is something I will cherish forever. I carefully considered not only the visual impact of the show, but also the emotions it would evoke in the massive crowds that continually gather to watch.”

Krupa expressed his passion for music, light and art.

As he prepared to put the show together, Krupa learned about the intricate technology and behind-the-scenes details that bring the water show to life.

“Our mission at Bellagio is to provide unforgettable experiences for our guests, and this remarkable show, created by a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member, is a perfect example of that commitment,” said Ann Hoff, President and COO of Bellagio. “The Fountains are beloved by millions of visitors from around the world, and we look forward to sharing this extraordinary new show with them, which beautifully captures the essence and energy of the Bellagio experience,”

The Fountains of Bellagio show runs every half hour from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and every 15 minutes from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

Saturday every 30 minutes from 12 to 20 o’clock and Sunday from 15 to 20 o’clock
