Ultimate Fighter Two standouts Nathan Fletcher and Zygimantas Ramaska will not fight tonight (Sat., August 24, 2024) at UFC Vegas 96 LIVE on ESPN.ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Fletcher was pulled from the fight at the last second due to an undisclosed medical issue.
The unfortunate news was announced in the first seconds of the UFC Vegas 96 broadcast on ESPN.
Fletcher, 26, lost his opening fight against Kaan Ofli in season 32 of TUFbut the young English fighter has nevertheless been given the go-ahead to make his UFC debut this weekend in “Sin City”. The talented wrestler trains alongside Paddy Pimblett and has attracted a lot of attention. Unfortunately, he will have to wait a little longer for his first step into the Octagon.
Ramaska, 27, won his opening fight against Bekhzod Usmonov in the last season of TUFbut was unable to continue in the tournament. The explosive Lithuanian fighter brought a 100 percent win rate to his UFC debut this weekend, but fight fans will have to wait and see what he can do. It is currently unknown if the UFC will look to re-book this fight immediately or at least find a last-minute replacement fight for Ramaska to get him back on the schedule in a short amount of time.
UFC Vegas 96 will now continue with a total of 11 fights.
