A widow is convinced that eerie surveillance footage of her home may have captured the ghost of her late husband.
Emily Snyder of Anson, Texas, shared two creepy videos in the Facebook group “Ghosts Caught On Camera.” In her post, she detailed how her husband Jeremy passed away on August 18, 2021.
Almost exactly a year later, on August 17, 2022, Emily received a “motion alert from the cameras on the porch of the family home.” The footage shows a blurry figure appearing out of nowhere and then peeking over an object at the bottom of the screen before disappearing into the night.
Emily asked, “Knowing what Jeremy looks like, we were surprised by the resemblance. Is this just a grief-driven perception? I’m torn between desperately wanting to believe that he still exists somewhere, somehow, and trying to rationalize this.”
She also shared a photo of Jeremy where he is bald on top and has a horseshoe-shaped hairline at the back and sides. He also has quite pronounced ears and a long beard.
The post quickly garnered over 100 likes and many paranormal enthusiasts were convinced that the video was indeed Jeremy’s apparition. One commenter said: “Looks like him to me! Same ears. Same hairline.”
A second person said: “Definitely looks like him. Stops by to say hi. And if it gives you peace then he accomplished what he set out to accomplish.” A third person noted: “OMG…that’s a man, he really looks like your husband…I’d say that could be. Who knows. I’ve had weird things happen to me when there’s been a death in my family.”
However, there were also some who remained skeptical. One said, “My condolences for your loss, but I don’t see that at all.” Another added, “My condolences for your loss, and while I’m sure it’s with you always, that’s something that happens in front of or right in front of the lens.”
