- Mel Barcenas is making her first start in the NWSL regular season. The San Diego native started the Wave’s most recent Concacaf W Champions Cup match on Tuesday.
- On the outside flank Sofia Jakobsson is entering her sixth game of the regular season and has scored one goal so far this year.
- beginner Julia B. is in the starting line-up for the ninth time and has scored one goal so far this season.
- Mid-season acquisition Maria Sanchez has already scored two goals for San Diego this season, after scoring in the Wave’s most recent game against Santa Fe FC.
- On the bench are goalkeepers Morgan Messner and Hillary Beall, defender Christen Westphal and strikers Alex Morgan, Amirah Ali, Elyse Bennett and New signing Delphine Cascarino.
