The eye area is a problem for many, but one woman has it under control.
She raved about an $8 skin care product purchase at the drugstore.
Redditor Sunpossible260 said their method works better than more expensive products.
“Right after I get out of the shower and after I wash my face at night, I apply some Eucerin Aquaphor under my eyes to lock in moisture,” she said.
“I swear this worked better than any expensive eye cream I’ve ever bought.”
She added that her method not only works for her, but is also cost-effective.
“It costs a few dollars for a tube that lasts a year or more,” she said.
Sunpossible260 saw a dramatic difference in her complexion.
“I’m telling you, I have fewer wrinkles than I did a year ago,” she said.
“No other product, and I have tried many, has given me this result.”

Other Reddit users chimed in and commented on her skincare routine.
“This is based on science,” wrote one.
“A dermatologist showed me a study that says applying lotions like Cerave and Aquaphor less than four minutes after showering/washing is best for locking in moisture and reducing dry skin.”
“My doctor told me to do this,” said another.
“Absolutely. I have an autoimmune disease that makes my skin extremely dry and brittle,” said a third.
“And one of the first recommendations from my immunologist was to pat off excess water with a towel after showering so that it doesn’t drip/run off but the skin is still moist.
“And then immediately apply lotion as soon as possible to lock in moisture.
“Patting with a towel is also important – if you have dry or sensitive skin, never rub.”
They also recommended avoiding dry skin all around.
“Never use soap on dry skin, it will only dry it out more,” they said.
“Instead, use an antibacterial cleansing lotion that does not contain soap.
“All my specialists recommended Cetaphil products.”
