Kris Statlander hopes to work her way up to the main events of pay-per-view events, but for now she’s happy to be there.

Kris Statlander’s rivalry with Willow Nightingale will see a new chapter on August 25, when Statlander teams with Stokely Hathaway and Nightingale teams with Tomohiro Ishii as part of AEW All In: Zero Hour. Although Zero Hour technically means the match will not be part of the official show, Statlander says she has no problem with the spot on the card and is happy to set the tone for such a night.

During the Under The Ring podcast, Statlander explained why she’s just happy to be there, mentioning that she enjoys being able to watch the rest of the event uninhibited by attending the preview.

“I mean, I think there are advantages to being in multiple spots on the card. I think the ideal and best spot I’ve ever wrestled in, in my opinion, was something like the third fight on the show.” she explained. “It’s a really good place to be because there’s a lot of pressure in the first matches. It’s like you’re setting the tone for how the show is going to go. I don’t know the order of the cards, but being in Zero Hour is definitely not a bad thing. It’s still a part of the show and I’ve been doing a lot of Zero Hours lately. A good way, a good thing that I like to see is that you can set the tone for the show again and then when you’re done you can relax and watch everything else, which I really like to do.

“As honorable as it is to be in the main event, it also brings a lot of pressure because it ends the show,” she continued. “I hope that one day I can be worthy of that position. But I’m very happy with the position on Zero Hour, being third, first, fifth in a show. I’m just happy to be there.”
