Singer and actress Lily Allen, 39, returned the dog she had adopted to the animal shelter because it ruined her passports and visas, as well as those of her two children. She told the story in an episode of her podcast “Miss Me?” with Miquita Oliver.
As US Weekly reported, Allen said, “She ate all three of our passports, and our visas were in them.” She further explained that the incident cost her a lot of money. Allen had to replace all of these important documents during the COVID-19 pandemic. She called it “an absolute logistical nightmare.”
Lily Allen is currently married to Stranger Things actor David Harbour. They live in New York with her two children, whom she has with ex-husband Sam Cooper. The singer also revealed that her children had to be separated from their father due to the dog’s behavior. She added: “Because my children’s father lives in England, I couldn’t take them back to their father for four or five months.” She recalled telling the adopted dog: “You ruined my life.”
Allen also defended her decision to return the dog to the shelter, claiming that the dog’s behavior was not a good fit for her family.
