Salma Hayek attended the European premiere of Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut “Blink Twice” on August 19 in London and shone on the red carpet in a black dress and silver platform sandals by Gucci.
Putting her own spin on the classic LBD, Hayek wore a figure-hugging, knee-length dress with a horizontal neckline and thin straps. Underneath the neckline was a thin and shiny trim that added a dainty accent to the simple dress. While the design of the garment proved that less can be more, Hayek added extra glamour to her premiere look with glittering accessories, including a diamond necklace, multiple rings and bracelets, and a sparkling silver Balenciaga handbag.
The 5’2″ actress matched her shoes to her accessories, looking taller than usual in a pair of sky-high silver platform sandals by Gucci. The pumps featured a curved strap across the toes and a strap at the back that held the foot in place. There were also straps on the side of the foot that connected to the ankle strap. In addition to the massive platform at the front, the sole curved dramatically upwards, resulting in a block heel several inches high. The shiny metallic shoes not only picked up on her accessories, but also stood out against her simple yet elegant black dress.
Hayek has shown her love for Gucci platforms in the past, wearing a similar style in black when she attended a Gucci party in Los Angeles this summer, co-hosted by Miley Cyrus. A devotee of the brand, she sat alongside Paul Mescal and her husband François-Henri Pinault at the Gucci Cruise 2025 show earlier this year. For the occasion, she wore a very similar silver model that appeared to be made from a more mirror-like reflective material than the pair she wore while watching “Blink Twice.”
Kravitz attended the European premiere of her film in a red dress and slingback pumps by Saint Laurent. “Blink Twice,” which is set to hit theaters on August 23, already had its US premiere, where Alicia Keys was seen in pointy black boots.
