Which brand of chicken was recalled?
Perdue Farms, a meat company that sells many ready-to-eat frozen chicken products like those recalled, issued the notice in an Aug. 16 press release.
“We determined that the material was a very thin metal wire that inadvertently entered the manufacturing process,” said Jeff Shaw, senior vice president of food safety and quality at Perdue. “Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to voluntarily recall all of these product packages.”
