Clavell, a global leader in luxury hospitality, will lead the hotel group into a new era
SHANGHAI, 19 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Successful hotelier Victor Clavell has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Urban Resort Concepts (URC) and is responsible for managing the properties in the portfolio, improving operational excellence and leading growth in Asia and other regions.

Victor brings over three decades of experience in premium hotel management to his new role and has a successful track record working with global luxury brands. His extensive hospitality experience spans multiple continents and includes 28 years in Marriott International’s luxury portfolio. While much of his career at Marriott has been in EuropeVictor moved to Asia in 2010, when he was appointed Area Vice President for Asia-Pacificresponsible for the overall management of The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts and EDITION brands throughout the region, as well as overseeing the 27 properties under development.
In 2020, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer at AMAALA, an ultra-luxury project owned by Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. Most recently, Victor was Senior Vice President of Operations at Rosewood Europe, the Middle East, Africaand the Caribbean.

Graduate of the University of Surrey, United KingdomVictor holds a Master of Science in International Hotel Management. He received an additional degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona and earned a certificate in Executive Education from Harvard Business School in 2019. Victor is a multilingualist with international experience. His native language is English, Spanish and Catalan, he is fluent in French and has a good knowledge of Italian. Back to Asia For this new position, Victor will be Hong Kong.
