What happens when you combine makeup and skincare with gentle ingredients? The Californian brand Tower 28.
Named after a lifeguard tower in Santa Monica, it was created to offer high-performance makeup and skincare to those with sensitive and reactive skin. It’s an inclusive approach that welcomes everyone, regardless of their skin type.
Founder Amy Liu struggled with eczema and various skin conditions throughout her life. After years in the beauty industry, she founded Tower 28 to solve the problems she had when purchasing makeup and skincare products. The products are rigorously dermatologically tested and are said to contain no irritating ingredients.

A collection of products from Tower 28 will be available exclusively online and in select Mecca stores from August 27. Standout products include TikTok-famous SOS Rescue Spray – a gentle toner that soothes irritated skin and reduces redness and inflammation – a tinted mineral SPF available in 17 shades with buildable coverage, and a lip treatment in five shades and flavors.
“We are committed to developing products that are suitable for sensitive skin while delivering exceptional results,” Liu said in a statement. “It’s so exciting to spread our safe space for sensitive skin around the world.”
This comes after Glossier, another cult US beauty favourite, became available exclusively at Mecca last month.
