He also said: “The first season of Supacell is my Batman Begins. It’s a prequel to what they’re going to be like. Then in season two you really see what they become. The future that you saw in London at the end of the pilot, that future no longer exists. They’ve changed everything. It’s going to be interesting when we get into the writers’ room.”
What is season 2 of “Supacell” about?
With the announcement of Season 2, no plot details have been revealed yet, but we can make an educated guess based on what happened at the end of Season 1. Of course, you should know that we Spoiler area.
Season 1 of Supacell ends with the death of ruthless gang leader Krazy (Ghetts). However, the real antagonists are only revealed after the credits. It turns out that Krazy was under the influence of Ray (Eddie Marsan), a mysterious figure who had been secretly observing the series’ superheroes. In a surprising twist, Victoria (Sian Brooke) is revealed to be the mastermind behind the whole thing and warns a shaken Ray that he has let her down too.
Following Dionne’s (Adelayo Adedayo) tragic death, the same post-credits scene delves deeper into the organization’s operations. We see Ray walk past several super-powered prisoners, including Sabrina’s (Nadine Mills) long-missing sister Sharleen (Rayxia Ojo). This suggests that Season 2 could bring more to light about the others involved and reveal other familiar characters with ties to the organization. This entire scenario sets the stage for an exciting Season 2.
Rapman also explained that we may see a darker side of protagonist Michael (Tosin Cole), considering he lost the love of his life: “You can have the nicest person in the world. You push that person too far and that person has extraordinary powers? Then something very dangerous could arise.”
