Images and sounds from Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Wisconsin
Kamala Harris thrilled the crowd at West Allis Central High School at her first rally as a presidential candidate.
Vice President Kamala Harris plans to hold a rally at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Tuesday, the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, according to sources familiar with the plans.
It would be Harris’ third visit to Wisconsin since she was named the Democratic presidential nominee late last month. She held the first rally of her presidential campaign just outside Milwaukee and stopped in Eau Claire last week with her newly chosen running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
It was not immediately clear whether Walz planned to meet Harris in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Two sources familiar with the planning cautioned that details of the visit, including the timing of the event, were still in flux. The New York Times first reported on the plans on Tuesday.
Harris and Walz drew large crowds during their tour of swing states last week. More than 12,000 people attended the rally in Eau Claire on Wednesday.
A spokesman for Harris’ campaign team declined to comment on the vice president’s travel plans.
Last month, Republicans gathered for a week at the Fiserv Forum to formally nominate former President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, plans to deliver a speech to the Milwaukee Police Association this Friday.
