VEGAS (August 16, 2024) – The Vegas Golden Knights announced today, August 16, that the team will host hockey seminars and fan activations during its inaugural “LosVGK en México” trip from September 6-10 in Mexico City, Metepec and Monterrey.
“In addition to the 225,000 people of Mexican descent who already live in Las Vegas, our city also welcomes over half a million visitors from Mexico each year, surpassed only by Canada,” said President and CEO Kerry Bubolz“LosVGK en México is an exciting opportunity for us to reach new fans and share our passion for the great sport of hockey.”
The Vegas Golden Knights are partnering with the Mexican Ice Hockey Federation, Ice Hockey Workshops and Fundación Dr. Sonrisas for the trip. A LosVGK en México logo features a red, white and green version of the LosVGK logo based on the colors of the Mexican flag, designed by VGK designer Stephanie Suominenwho designed the original LosVGK logo.

The Vegas Golden Knights introduced the LosVGK brand in October 2023, building on the team’s outreach to its Hispanic and Latino fan base. The initiative included ball hockey clinics in predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods in Clark County, a line of products in team shops and a LosVGK mural in the city’s Arts District. The LosVGK trip to Mexico will be the team’s first international effort under the LosVGK brand.
