Vintage cars and classic covers return to the Sherwood show
Car lovers and rock ‘n’ roll fans can once again look forward to the annual “Classic Hits & Classic Cars” event, which this year takes place on Saturday, August 24th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sherwood Assisted Living, 550 West Hendrickson Road.
This family-friendly event features some of the best local classic and vintage cars presented by members of the Sequim Car Club, accompanied by live music from Black Diamond Junction.
The car show runs the entire duration of the event (10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) and Black Diamond Junction, voted the best band on the Olympic Peninsula nine years in a row, spins their classic songs from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Other attractions include: a $5 lunch of grilled burgers and hot dogs, free root beer floats and a raffle.
“We’re always excited to bring the community together for a fun day of music and vintage cars,” said Janaye Birkland, marketing director for Sherwood Assisted Living. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to create lasting memories and experience our vibrant community spirit here in Sherwood.”
Aside from lunch, the event is free and open to the public. For more information about the event or Sherwood Assisted Living’s care services, call 360-683-3348.
